This privacy policy applies to the Appicy Apps app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Appicy LTD (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Important Notice About Face/Photo Search Feature:
When you use our photo search feature, images are processed temporarily for search purposes only and are deleted from our servers immediately after processing (within 1-5 minutes). We do NOT create facial recognition profiles, extract biometric data, or maintain any face database. Face data is NEVER shared with third parties.
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Email address (for account creation and authentication)
- Display name (optional)
- Search queries and prompts
- Photos for search functionality (see Face/Photo Data section below)
The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
Face/Photo Data - Detailed Information
What Face/Photo Data We Collect
When you use our photo search feature, you may provide:
- Photos taken directly with your device camera
- Photos selected from your device photo library
- Cropped or edited versions of photos to focus on specific faces or subjects
How We Process Face/Photo Data
- Local Processing: Images are compressed and cropped on your device before transmission (max 2MB, 960x960 pixels)
- Secure Transmission: Photos are transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections to our API (osintdeep.com)
- Temporary Processing: Our servers process the image to search for publicly available matching content online
- Immediate Deletion: Photos are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after search processing completes (within 1-5 minutes)
- No Biometric Extraction: We do NOT extract, create, or store facial recognition templates, biometric identifiers, or face prints
- No Database Creation: We do NOT build or maintain any facial recognition database
Face/Photo Data Storage
- On Your Device: Photos remain in your local search history on your device for your reference (you can clear this anytime)
- On Our Servers: NO permanent storage - images are deleted immediately after processing
- No Backups: Face/photo data is NOT included in any server backups
Face/Photo Data Sharing
We absolutely do NOT:
- Share your photos with any third parties
- Sell or license your photo data
- Use your photos for training AI or machine learning models
- Use your photos for any purpose other than providing search results
- Retain photos after search completion
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Data Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
Specific security measures include:
- End-to-end encryption for data transmission using TLS/SSL
- Secure API endpoints with authentication tokens
- Automatic deletion of photo data after processing
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Access controls and activity monitoring
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
You can also:
- Disable camera access in your device settings to prevent photo capture
- Disable photo library access to prevent photo selection
- Clear your local search history within the app at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter.
Specific retention periods:
- Account Information: Retained while your account is active
- Search History: Stored locally on your device until you clear it
- Photo/Face Data on Servers: Deleted immediately after processing (1-5 minutes maximum)
- Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized after 60 days
If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at info@appicy.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (info@appicy.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request access to your personal information
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Clear History: Clear your local search history at any time
